CHATTANOOGA – The Chattanooga Mocs men’s tennis program returns to the court for a crucial Southern Conference match on the road at Mercer Sunday afternoon. First serve is set for 1 p.m. ET.
Chattanooga enters the weekend with a 4-12 overall mark while carrying a 2-1 tally in the SoCon. The Mocs, who split a pair of matches last weekend, currently sit just a half match back of first place ETSU (2-0) in the league standings.
UTC downed Wofford on the road last Friday 5-2 before falling 5-2 to Furman on Sunday in a neutral site matchup in Spartanburg, South Carolina. The duo of Simon Labbe and Jordan McClure went a perfect 2-0 in doubles play last weekend while Labbe also saw a pair of victories at the No. 3 singles slot.
Mercer heads into the match with a 6-9 overall record and an 0-1 mark in the conference. The Bears lone conference loss came on March 13, 4-3 at home against Wofford. The squad is coming off a 6-1 non-conference victory over Alabama State last Sunday.
