TV: Bally Sports Detroit.
Radio: WXYT-FM (97.1) in Detroit (Tigers radio affiliates).
Starting pitchers: Tigers TBD vs. Reds TBD.

Game notes: Not much is known about this game right now, other than that it’s supposed to take place. Thus is September baseball.
Neither the Tigers nor Reds have named starters for this contest, the first of a three-game series between the two sides before the Tigers travel out west.
It’s not exactly shocking the Tigers haven’t named a starter yet after another wrench was thrown into their rotation when Matt Manning was placed on the injured list with a broken foot from a comebacker, the second time that’s happened to him this season. Rookie Sawyer Gipson-Long was called up and pitched on Sunday, looking impressive in his first big league start.
More on that in this week’s Tigers Newsletter from Our’ Ryan Ford.
The Reds enter the series in third place in the NL Central after losing their last series to the St. Louis Cardinals. While they’re just three games over .500, they still have a decent shot at claiming a Wild Card slot in the National League and are within striking distance of the Arizona Diamondbacks, Miami Marlins, and San Francisco Giants, who all hold slight leads over them in the race for the final spot.
