Was the Mets poor offensive performance in 2021 the result of hitting analysis overload?

On Baseball Night in NY, Anthony Recker and Jim Duquette react to John Harper’s column on SNY.tv that Mets hitters suffered from analytical overload on 2021. Recker agreed wholeheartedly, saying: “it encapsulates everything a lot us were seeing last year when we were watching this team.” Duquette says the experience of new manager Buck Showalter and hitting coach Eric Chavez will offer the Mets a better balance in their approach to hitting going forward.
